National Hereford Show 2019
We had a good day with the cattle with Haven Lamborghini taking the Senior Male Championship and Haven Louisa 79th taking the Reserve Intermediate Female Championship. Its even more pleasing to see our breeding doing well for other breeders with 7 out of 12 championship winners being Haven breeding with others at the top end of the high quality classes.

Spring Show and Sale 2019
Havenfield 1 Rufus, was second top price at the 2019 Spring Show and sale, selling for 6,400gns to Mrs J R Williams.
National Calf Show 2018
The National Hereford Calf show this year was run in conjunction with the HCBA Christmas calf show, it had over 140 entries.
We had a great day, winning the best pair of Bulls with Havenfield 1 Robin Hood & Havenfield 1 Rufus. With Robin Hood winning a strong September / October Class and going on to be awarded Male Champion.
Robin Hood is sired by Romany 1 Lawbreaker and is out of Dendor 1 Ruby 20th and Rufus is sired by Solpoll 1 Lawman and out of Romany 1 Lucy D1 L14. All being well both will hopefully be at the Spring Show and Sale in April.

Horned Bull of The Year 2018
Haven Possum was crowned Horned Bull of The Year at the Annual awards dinner.
Ben received the award from breed president Johnathon Moorhouse.
HCBA Herd Competition
We were very pleased to host the HCBA Herd Competition, there was a great turnout of breeders who came a long for a herd tour, refreshments and the annual awards ceremony. This year judged by the UK Hereford Youth members: James Ludgate, Tom Pritchard, Flora Amery and Isla Souter.
We were proud to be awarded second best herd on the night, and as well as that we were awarded best Heifer Calf Haven Lousia 79th and Best Bull Calf with Havenfield 1 Rufus – pictured on his mum back in the spring.
Shropshire County Show & The Royal Three Counties Show 2018
Haven Possum won his class in both shows with especially hard competition at the R3Cs, where he was judged above the eventual winner of The Royal Norfolk show!
Very pleased with how he has improved this year, we will be using him in the coming months.

Hilton Chefs Visit!
Chefs from The Hilton in Wembley paid us a visit to see how their Hereford beef is produced, we are always happy to show groups around and very much enjoy doing so.
It was great to have Iowa State back again this year, pictured right.
Buckenhill 1 Peridot
First Poll stock bull to be purchased, we are very happy with him and have put him straight to work. First calves hitting the ground spring 2019.
Horned Bull of the Year 2017
Haven Nugget was awarded Horned Bull of The Year 2017 a the Annual Dinner. We are looking forward to his calves in Autumn 2018!
National Poll Show 2017
Havenfield 1 Nitro came second in his class at the Poll Show, Moreton in the Marsh. The first time we have ever showed here, he was later sold to Mrs Jenny Pudge, Black Hall Herefords, Kings Pyon.
National Horned Hereford Show
Haven Northstar was awarded Grand Male Champion at the National Hereford Show and will now be joining CFP & SH McCreath, Longridge, Stafford.
We were awarded the Reserve Grand & Reserve Intermediate Male Championships with stablemate Haven Nugget. Seventeen month old "Nugget", who is enjoying an excellent show season, is out of Haven Curly 109th and is another fine son of Haven Kingpin – We are first using him Autumn 2017. We also took the Senior Male Championship with three year old Haven Lamborghini. He is out of Haven Splendour 25th and by former National Show Champion Haven Cavalier.

Muster Hereford Group Visit
On Friday the 4th of August we had the pleasure of hosting the Munster Hereford Group which consisted of 50 breeders. We thank them for their comments and as always visitors are very much welcomed at The Haven.
Hereford Cattle Breeders Association Herd Competition 2017
Great to have won the HCBA Herd competition 2017, with Haven Possum being judged The Best Bull Calf for the year to top it off!
Royal Welsh Show
Haven Nugget out of Haven Curly 109th and by Haven Kingpin was presented with the Dendor Trophy for the Best Bull under 2 years of Age by Marlene Robbie, Otapawa Poll Herefords, New Zealand.
"Nugget" boasts a great set of EBV's across the board; easy calving, good growth and carcase traits in the top 1% of the Breed. Later at the show Nugget was judged Agri Lloyd Reserve Junior Native Elite Performance Recorded Inter-breed Champion.
Shropshire County Show 2017
Haven Nugget came first in the Bull born on or between 1st January and 31st March 2016, and then took the Reserve Male Championship at the Shropshire Show under the judgement of Mr Phil Alman, Greenyards Herefords.

Royal Three Counties Show 2017
A great day at the Royal Three Counties winning the Hopton Perpetual Trophy for the Best Group of Three at the show with Haven North Star, Haven Nugget and our poll bull Havenfield 1 Nitro.
HCBA Christmas Calf Show 2016
Haven Neptune took the Supreme, Grand Male Championships at the Christmas Calf Show under the judgement of Mr John O’Connor Clouncagh Herefords, Co. Limerick, Ireland. Over 150 pedigree Hereford calves were entered in the show, one of the biggest in Europe.

- First and Reserve Male Champion with Haven Northstar and Fourth with Haven Nugget in the March Class

Designer Genes Sale 2016
Both of our entries in the Designer Genes Sale were sold to excellent homes, both having purchased Haven genetics in the past. Dowager 180th and Julia 48th were the first Haven females to sell at public auction in 35 years.

National Horned Hereford Show 2016

Haven Montana took the Supreme, Grand & Intermediate Championships at the National Show under the judgement of Mr Michael Molloy, Co. Offaly, Ireland.
Since the show we have sold Montana to RG & MD Thomas of Risbury Herefords.
It was great to see progeny of Haven bulls also doing well for other breeders at the show. Including progeny of Haven Koala, Haven Hotspur, Haven Wizard and Haven Force Ten.
National Christmas Calf Show 2015
Haven Mustang won the junior calf class at the National Calf Show, Shrewsbury Livestock Market on the 13th December.
Haven Mustang sired by Knockmountagh Marshall is an exciting prospect for 2016.
National Horned Hereford Show 2015
Having been running with cows since the Spring, Pulham Herefords pulled Haven Hotspur out a week before the 2015 National Hereford Show, he was crowned Senior Male Champion on the day.
Christmas Calf Show 2014
Haven Lamborghini won the junior calf class at the Christmas Calf Show, Shrewsbury Livestock Market on the 13th December.
Haven Lamborghini paternal brother to Haven Kermit and Maternal brother to Haven Kingpin.
An exciting prospect for 2015.
Kington Show 2014
Haven Koala won the Supreme Hereford Championship and the Interbreed Championship at Kington show 2014.
Haven Koala is jointly owned with A R Owen of Church Preen Herefords is sired by Mawarra Vice Admiral.
Koala is in the Top 1% of the breed for 200, 400, 600 day weights and Self Replacing and Terminal Sire Indices.
National Horned Hereford Show 2014
We had an excellent show day at The 30th National Hereford Show at Tenbury Wells.
Haven Kermit
Kermit took the Grand and Intermediate Male Championships before going on to take the Supreme Championship.
His sire is 2010 National Hereford Show Grand Male Champion Haven Cavalier and his dam is Haven Thrush 64th sired by Haven Wizard.
He's in the Top 1% for the Breed for the following traits; 200, 400 & 600 day weights, scrotal size, retail beef yield and Self-Replacing and Terminal Sire Indices.

Haven Kingpin
The Irish Hereford Cattle Society have bought semen from Haven Kingpin for their Society's Breed Improvement Scheme for a five figure sum.
Kingpin's Dam is Haven Splendour 25th and his sire is GH Adams 144S Bulge 138W.

Midlands and East Anglia Calf Show November 2013
Haven Koala won the Male and Supreme Champion. Koala who is sired by Mawarra Vice Admiral is owned jointly with A Owen, Church Preen Herefords.
Judge Robert Clarke commented that "Haven Koala is one of the best Hereford bulls I've seen this year, an easy winner with plenty of character, I'm sure he will go on to breed top quality pedigree bulls that will suit today's commercial needs".
National Horned Hereford Show 2013
We had a good show day at The National Horned show 2013 at Tenbury Wells, winning the best groups of three by the same sire (Mawarra Vice Admiral) with Haven Jazz, Lady Lynda 53rd and Curly 126th. Haven Lady Lynda 53rd went on to win her class.
We also won the Dick Adams Memorial Trophy for the Horned Herd of the year 2013.

On behalf of Alistair McHarg who owns New House Herefords, we showed New House Kilo who is sired by Haven Cavalier. Kilo was Reserve Overall Male Champion and won the Doris Dancer Cup for the best animal from a herd under 12 cows.

Beef Expo 2013
We were privileged to be asked to be one of the host farms for the Beef Expo 2013.
On the day around 170 beef farmers from Scotland to Cornwall looked around the cows and calves, maiden heifers and yearling bulls on display. The day was a great success and the comments we received were very pleasing.

Three Counties Show 2012

Haven Governor Supreme Hereford Champion and Reserve Inter-Breed Champion.
Haven Dowager 169th Female Champion and Reserve Supreme to Haven Governor. Haven Hotspur also came first in his class, both Dowager 169th and Hotspur were 14 months when taken to the show.
